LilyPad Blue LED is a small, sewable, very bright SMD LED for the wearable project. It glows when the controlled power supply is applied, the range of applied voltage on this led is 3 volt DC to 6 Volt DC.
You should easy find the plus (+) and minus (-) sing on this board for apply power supply. The brightness of lilypad is 250mcd. This LED is easily controlled by Lilypad328 and conducting thread.
Every LilyPad has large connecting pads which allow you to sewn into cloth.
It comes with 1206 size LEDs, matched with a 220-ohm resistor. When power it 3.3V supply they consume about 5mA so you can put up to 4 or 5 in parallel into a single microcontroller pin. It comes in variable colours like red, green, yellow, pink, white, etc.
Running this led is very simple. Connect your lilypad Arduino to your laptop or computer and run the Arduino software. Open the Blink sketch by clicking the open icon then go to Basics–>Blink, or File–>Examples–>Basics–>Blink. A program will appear on your computer under Blink tab. Then click on the verify icon, the process of saving complete in few second. When it is complete Arduino tells you "Done compiling".
Load this program to your LilyPad Arduino by clicking upload button in the software. If everything goes well, Arduino tells you upload is finished and give you the size of your program.
You can change the mode of your LED with modification in your program like blink faster or slower, flicker, heartbeat pattern, etc.
